Evan Rachel Wood—frequent plaything of Marilyn Manson, rumored girlfriend to Mickey Rourke—stars in Woody Allen’s latest film. What took so long for these two to hook up?
Evan Rachel Wood is that rare and ruinous combination of innocent girl next door and kinky neighbor down the street.
Best known for dramatic roles in Oscar-cred movies like The Wrestler, this is the girl who, at age 19, shot a blood-spattered sex scene with her boyfriend, Marilyn Manson, for one of his rock videos.
More recently, she was linked with her Wrestler co-star, the 56-year-old Mickey Rourke. “There was no truth to it, and it was so annoying,” says Wood, now 21, who is back with Manson after “taking some time” away from the relationship. Of Rourke, she says: “The friendship was intimate and nice, and this makes it weird.”
Yes, Wood is precocious (she mangled our hearts in Thirteen) but perhaps preternaturally wacko, too. Still, that danger—that unnerving energy, that aggressive sexuality—is what draws us to her. In conversation, she’s as likely to tell you about her next project (she might play Mary Jane in an upcoming Broadway production of Spider-Man) as she is to offer intimate details about neutering her pet cat.
For the record, she was upset about the feline surgery. But not that upset.
“You should have seen me when my rats died.” Her Lolita rep may have an upside; Woody Allen cast her as a runaway teen who marries Larry David (age 61!) in Whatever Works, opening next month.
Working with Allen was “nerve-racking,” she admits; he didn’t audition her and gave almost no direction. It seems he didn’t have to. “If he thinks you’re perfect for the part,” she says, “he lets you do whatever you want.” As anyone who has photographed her knows, that’s usually the best policy.
Evan Rachel Wood was born in Septebmer 7th, 1987 in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. She's a well known actress for her work in movies such as Thirteen and Across The Universe. This year will see her in Woody Allen's Whatever Works.

wow, i didnt know shes married to that old man in the woody film, sounds so bizarre but i still want to see it badly :) these photoshoot is not of my faves, too sexy, but she looks good in all of them.

Wow girl, I saw some photos from this session and its really different from what we're used to dont you think? she looks so glamorous, and agressive at the same time, i love especially her hair there and those red lips. you know, she's done some pin-up style photoshoots but like you said she's a total femme fatale here! :D oh, and what she says about woody... its not the first time i hear that he gives a lot of freedom to his actors, my scarlett said that several times, and of course this year my spanish girl penélope cruz, i remember watching her in an interview where she was so surprised about that.
anyway how is everything my bells? ive been super busy, with exams, and studying the whole day but thank god im finishing tomorrow! so wish me luck dear :D much love to you my girl.

wow, what a look, shes totally hot there, fierceness is the word. im super curious to know anything about the woody film, its so great that she could work with him and that freedom to act must have been great to her. im going to read the rest when i can because im catching up with college and everything here when i have time so i'll leave you about it in the blog ;)
