It's been quite a while since the last time I posted something about "Whatever Works". So there you go, a still of Melodie and her husband Boris Yellnikoff (Larry David). And here's something quite interesting I found:

Woody Allen wrote the script for this movie in the 70s! Back then, he wrote the role of Boris with actor Zero Mostel in mind, but after his death 1977, Woody put the screenplay aside. And in 2008, he decided it would be his next film.

The film follows an eccentric New Yorker played by Larry David who abandons his upper class life to lead a more bohemian existence. He meets a young girl from the south and her family and no two people seem to get along in the entanglements that follow.

This is going to be a Whatever Works MEGA post!
I have been collecting some precious info about Evan's new movie, Whatever Works, directed by Woody Allen and starred by Larry David, Henry Cavill and Patricia Clarkson.

Plot: “Whatever Works revolves around an eccentric man (Larry David) taken into a series of adventures and encounters with his friends from Greenwich, a young woman from the South (Evan Rachel Wood), and her parents.”
* Evan said on the Jimmy Kimmel interview she plays Larry David's wife, Melodie. But there was no sex scenes.

The movie will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival at the opening night for invitees only. It will later be released on June 19th in LA and NY.

During the Oscars closing credits, some exclusive previews of the 2009 movies were shown and WW was included! It around the 1:27, Larry shows up in the, apparently, living room and Patricia faints. This just shows that the movie will have a lot of funny moments!
